Help!!! Installation move data error - 106

Hi,

Just bought the medieval total war battle collection. I tried to install 3 , 4 times. Every time the installation stops at 19%, the essage error during the move data process - 106 appears. Looks like it stop at the file assasin21.tgp. The same disc installed perfetly at my friend's machine, so that rules out a bad disc. I tried every solution offered in activision's database like defrag and scan disk etc., still no luck.

I wanted to play the game so bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

clean the cd, make sure there is not a single scratch/dust/dirt/etc.

atleast thats how i fixed mine :), mine used to stop at 69% so i cleaned..and i cleaned..and i bloody well cleaned the cd then poof, it worked again :)
