Any body here play the Elder Scrols games? I have only playe Morrowind and Tribunal. What mods are good in that game? I've been looking around but many are still in the works like the middl-earth mod. Personally I would like to see more Roman mods

there are very few completed total coversions for Morrowind (Elder scrolls 3) but there are hundreds if not thousands of good mods for the game which very from added quests to new playable races and monsters - the Engine and the construction tool that comes with the game is very very flexable and versitile and ive made a few mods myself for it (nothing graphical im striclty a scripter)

Have a look at www.morrowindfiles.com, they have a lot of mods. I had/have a nice house mod which can train you up a bit (Though i think you need a good lock picking skill to get in). It had loads of cool things in from what i remember. It was called the abandoned flat mod.

the entire Empire and Imperail race is ment to give a Roamn feel as thats was the idea behind the Imperials - you will find mos tthe people making new factions and stroy stuff will be veterans of the passed 2 Eldar Scrolls games and they wont do any full on Roman stuff - there is a few good mods that act LIKE Romans but the game allready does that...

    http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/modcontrols/mods.asp

Disable pop-up stopping if you have it running and want to use their excellent search engine.

Check out the Daedric Manor plug-in. It is outstanding. A vast castle east of Ghostgate with many guards, rooms and features. No uber stuff around but lots to do. Perfect for any powerful character who likes to walk on the dark side. I'd describe it in more detail but you need to see it to believe it. Trust me...

Morrowind is one of my favorite games due in no small part to the modding community.

Morrowind is cool, Bloodmoon is the better of the two expansions - got to love running round killing off werewolfs.

Tribunal is still good though, can't really remember playing it though - got bloodmoon about two weeks later after tribunal so i played bloodmoon instead. You should try and get your hands on the abandoned flat mod - especcially if you need training on stuff. It also has a side quest if my memory serves me correctly.

Hmmm, maybe I should give it another try... I played it before but I normally couldn't play it longer than 20 minutes before it crashed... are there (new) patches available?

what was the last patch you downloaded. The last patch I know off was the one just after bloodmoon was released to correct some conflicts with tribunal (and prob some other stuff but the tribunal conflict is the only thing i remember it fixed as that was all i needed the patch for).

What does this mod do? I never became a Vampire, couldn't see the point to becoming one.

Moot point I was too lazy ot install it. I was scared it would fuck up my game, thats what the last mod I tried did.

My aim is to make a character strong enough to be able to become a vampire. I'm currently working on a mage.

What do you mean whats the point of becoming a vampire???

Whats the point of playing the game??

Whats the point of exploring the world??

To experience the game is the answer.

Well I doubt it, cause all npcs will attack you on sight if you are a vamp. INcluding town gaurds. THats one of the things the mod says it fixs.

I remember some one asking this on another forum, and from what i remember is that you can't because there isn't a faction set up for it - ie. mages guild, fighters guild - and there is no conversation scripts on dagoth ur. So unless you mod in a new faction and enter some conversation text for Dagoth Ur there is no way to join the 6th cult (its prob a bit more complicated than that to mod it but i could only change attributes of items - i had problems putting new items into the game world
