    how do i connect maps that i have edited/made self to a specific province? -for example if i design an excellent contantinople complete with hagia sophia and the whole city how do i get it to follow the castle changes in the game, so that when the citadel becomes larger new features are added, if the castle gets destroyed and only a fort is left i would want the same map with ruins of the old castle walls behind....do i need to make a different map 1 for each of the 13/14 map types? -if so how do i do this?
    i have designed great maps for rome, carthage and constantinople/byzantium in map editor....it would be nice to get to use them

    Hi Hross

    I think that you can connect your maps in the startpos file, in the section:

    //========================================
    //Castle Maps
    //special castle maps. If there is a valid
    //map available for this type of castle,
    //specified, a castle battle is played on
    //this map instead of a map from the mapgroup

    //specify a list of castle upgrade types,
    //followed by the name of the map associated
    //with the upgrade
    //========================================

    //SetCastleMap:: ID_CONSTANTINOPLE 0 "constantinople" 1 "constantinople" 2 "constantinople" 3 "constantinople" 4 "constantinople" 5 "constantinople" 6 "constantinople" 7 "constantinople" 8 "constantinople" 9 "constantinople" 10 "constantinople" 11 "constantinople" 12 "constantinople" 13 "constantinople"

    without the: // before SetCastleMap::

    This is an example taken from DarkAge mod.
    I think also you have to make a map for EVERY castle step/upgrade.

    the ruins might be hard to do because if u make the fort map have ruins on it. When u build a fort, u'll also build the ruins. If u see what I mean.

    Hi Hross af Guttenburg good question.

    If you follow the links that my good friend Antalis has put up for you it should answer the question.

    Good luck, and I seem to recall that somebody did do a set of maps for Constantinople. It might be worth a llok amongst the ORG library/ files to see if you can find it.
