Problem with the latest Viking invasion patch

I have just downloaded the latest patch for Viking Invasion and I installed it on my Pc. But when I tried to start MTW again, it showed an error and asked me to insert the CD.
But the CD was already in.
No matter what I do with the patch, the same always happen.
Is there anyone that has an idea about this?

Had the same problem with my modded game. I made a clean install, added the patch and then copied the fresh exe file into the modded game. That worked, although I don't have a clue why...
