    Hey guys, I just noticed something the other day...

    There I was playing my campaign as usual when I took over a great many rebel provinces, each time I released them all showing great mercy.

    Did I get any 'Mercy V&Vs', nope I released hundreds of them from four different provinces... But not one benefit for my kindness.

    So I went the other way and decided to execute them all, and after I sacked my second rebel province and killed everyone, and right on cue I got my first 'Tyrannical V&V'.

    In fact I don't remember my King ever getting a Mercy vice since before VI came out. Is it just me or is this the case?

    I think you can gain Mercy V&V faster if you deal with rebellions in your provinces, and not with the rebels captured in a newly conquered region.

    Anyway I got many times Merciful virtue, so it is possible. Maybe your monarch had a high dread. Could that affect the situation? Im not sure, but I think it is could.

    Regards,

    You got the Tyrant trait (+3 dread, minus 2 happiness)from killing rebels?

    You should be getting Swift Justice--->secret Rought Justice--->rough justice--->tough justice--->secret random justice--->random justice.

    Tyrant comes from authoritarian--->autocrat--->secret tyrant---> tyrant--->despot

    So far only the game creators know how to get this trait--I havent run accross anyone who has gotten it on a non-historical character or anyone who knows what to do to trigger it.

    These game creators need to give up the funk...I'm so sick of everything about this game being a secret.

    Sorry I did actually mean the first 'Swift Justice' one. My point was I got my first 'Rebel executing V&V' from sacking just two provinces, yet I conquered many more and still didn't see one 'Merciful Virtue'.

    Maybe I'd be better off just killing them all anyway (or at least executing the ringleaders)

    No he was a low dread weak monarch (hence a couple of rebellions) the rest of the rebels I conquered by sacking Ireland, Norway and Sweden (and the surrounding area)
