missing weapons?

why are theses missing?. the crews are there but the catapult/trebuchet is not? [mercenery units.]when they are avaliable for hire all i get is the troops but not the weapons? game is MTW with VI expansion pack version 2
start period is early the english anyone any ideas please. as attacking castles is just left to the computer.

How peculiar? As far as I know, no matter how many times you get your siege equipment destroyed on the field, the crew always manage to rebuild it before the next battle (this includes cannons). I've seen this happen even when there have not been enough crew to allow the device to fire. I can't explain total non appearance of the equipment. A bug maybe? Does it happen in a few provinces or just one?

I still think there should be tunnels and siege towers/ladders in the game

Are you referring to the recruitment of mercenary siege weapons? I don't think there is a problem. The recruitment screens says that you hire, for example, a catapult crew, but rest assured that they will bring their own equipment.

Anyway, I find this a rather lame way of acquiring these weapons. Why would I tech up to a siege engineer's workshop if I can just hire these things?

yes i am the weapons are missing but the crew is there.at the recruitment screen it shows up but when you hire the above mentioned weapons all you get are there crew nothing else.AND they dont bring there weapons i shall uninstal and reinstall see if that cures it?

You mean that in battle the only thing that appears are the men? That is strange. When I hired a trebuchet crew and used it in a castle assault, the trebuchet was present and fully functional. If this is not the case, I cannot help you.
