Okay, I admit, I have not been around lately. I spent time finishing my degree and since the economy is in the toilets, I have found some time to create a new map mod for v1.1 of MTW. It is called Welly's Gauntlet and the mod changes the campaign map into a W where you start with 2 provinces in the NW corner and must fight your way through 9 other factions who have 6 starting provinces apiece. Below are some images of the mod, but what makes this mod interesting is that included is a startpos file generator that allows you to choose which faction you want to send to the gauntlet, and the 9 enemies you wish to face and in what order. You also get to select the era as well as the length between each era. Whichever faction you choose, their starting lands will be that of their homelands in the original game. For example, attacking the Almohads within the W, you will encounter sand. This setup allows for an added replay for people who want a challenge and are not strict on historical accuracy. More importantly, this mod is a dedication to Wellington himself for creating the LMM program that made campaign map modding possible. I hope he sees this honor as this is made just for him and I guarantee that this mod is harder than it looks. Here is the link:
