They actually do pretty well when chasing archers, since they are fast and carry a huge shield. Plus they're cheap

I *think* that they get very minimal anti-cav bonus, cause they use short spears, but I'm not sure.

IMO they are just like peasents in other regards tho. They fight like peasents, they run like peasents and they die like peasents .
