I have just bought the pack that has both the Medieval Total War and the Viking Expansion, and I have two questions for y'all.
When I play the game screen will everyonce in a while go white, except for the forts will still be visible. Any ideas what causes this?
Also, I can not control my battles. If I select the command personally, it just ends the turn, and all of the battles just do not happen. So to fight I have to have it automatically resolve the battle. Any ideas about this one?

I imagine the Battlechest version comes with the latest patch. A 2.01 should be in the upper left corner of the game's main menu.

Can you tell us some about your system - hardware (CPU, RAM, graphic/sound card, etc.) and software (Window, DirectX, video drivers). Thanks.

It is a 2350 Dimension Dell Desktop, that I bought last August, to have for playing Civilization 3. It has a 56GB hard drive, of which less than 10 are used and runs on Windows XP. Other than that I do not really remember.

Please do find out the other specifications of your laptop, I suspect the graphics card, have you updated your drivers any time lately? We will try to do our best to help you out

Also a good thing to test is the following.
Go to < start < run < type here dxdiag < this will start op the diagnotics for Direct X. Here you can see your current version and systemspecs. There also an test to run to see if your videocard is up for the job.
