During my time with MTW I have seen new factions come and go, this mostly goes for The Swiss and The Golden Horde. The Burgundies have also tried to establish a new kingdom once. Is there any more new factions that can come to emerge during the game?

I think you may have the surprise factions covered. Though something in the back of my mind tells me there is something in northern Africa too (Nubians?) I may be confusing this with another topic.
