    Yes

    Quick update -

The News is that I'm trying (struggling) hard in 2 areas -

    1) good/sufficient documentation
    2) enough testing of all the areas that MTTM addresses

The actual code is (more or less) finalised. However, you won't believe how long the above 2 issues take.

Let me say that I want to release it ASAP - BUT I don't want to release it before I'm happy with it. No timescales yet; but I should say that (as per my original post in this thread) the current potential of MTTM is absolutely STUNNING

    Yet more melodrama from Welly

Well, it certainly still stuns me - and I'm writing the f*****g thing

Expect something soon - as I don't really wish to drag this 1st BETA release on for much longer (and end up with the proverbial egg on my face)

    It's coming

    Hi all,

From what I can understand some of you have managed to do several things ... can you post some screens of the results. Just curious ... and in need of the tool for HTW and other ancient mods to follow.

    Hey Wellington,

I want to build a WW1 mod, and you're my only hope since I would not go farther without modding the battlefields.

    Tell me it works, please

    Ok,

Enough egg-throwing. A first BETA will be available within a few days (see the other thread in this forum).

Having said that, MTTM has taken 12 or more months to understand the MTW files and engine and develope the utility that manipulates such. Therefore, for any "newbie" who may feel MTTM offers a shortcut to modding knowledge ... er ... it does'nt.

That's not to say MTTM is only for 'well established modders'. Rather, I would say that if you are new to the general MTW modding arena - don't expect MTTM to offer circumventions to experience It does'nt

    The 1st 2 downloads will be -

    - "MTTM_v1r1.zip"
    - "MTTM_NewTrees.zip"

Not 100% perfect but more than ok as an initial BETA release.

so Welly, when is the first release due?

This Tuesday or Wednesday (2 or 3 days).

I've now finalised all the code for this 1st release, and am busy testing a few things and more importantly writing Documentation. I want to be sure the documentation is good enough for users to understand MTTM, and not fall into the trap of releasing a utility thats works but with insufficient documentation (as happened with LMM).

2 days and Barrocca will receive the stuff, at which point he'll upload it to the Org and I'll confer with B on the STW support I've now put into MTTM - whilst those who wish can download it and be gob-smacked

Ok, a bit of facitious self praise there - but I am very pleased with this utility. It's all "come together" a lot better than I could have hoped for.

2/3 days before you can get it.

so when can we really expect it

I think Wellington can't wait till the moment he releases MTTM and rightly so, because if it's true what he says it will be a wonderfull tool. There are other things beside MTW that can hinder mod/tool releases. Let's just wait till it has arrived.

    But seriously: WHEN?

    Hi Welly
    Just some questions ...
1st - When will be the first beta ready to download?
2nd - Will it be able to make a 3D terrain by a B&W topographical image (white highest and black lowest point)
3rd - will it be able to set the textures on the new map automatically or though the MTW map editor
4th - Is it able to edit the 3D objects
5th - If yes to what extent

And finally ... I know its potential is big but how big are we talking about ... can we have some features list? Please ...

And for once ... don’t try to make a final-final-final just release it. (this is always the problem with programmers )
