For the high, can you play as Mongols? Or will you have to mod it in yourself? I must admit, I'm itching to get my hands on those new Mongol (or Korean I guess) units.
And yay for Klibnophoros Yay for updates At least untill the fact sinks in that I'll have to do all my changes again for the 3rd time

I was toying with the idea of making the Golden Horde playable straight away but felt they lost their impetus so I left them to invade instead. Wait for Super Late though.

Yeah you'll need 0.5 before the patch. Which, coincidently, is ready for uploading

Now if I could find someone with ICQ who'd put it up for me....

Methinks, Me needs, to download something else, or else swith order in wich me install's mod.?

I install de beta patch, and then .05....is it correct?

it slows me down something fierce, and switches factions starting positions(spain begins in turkey and so on)...

You install the first download (the big one, almost 40Mb). THEN, Version 0.5 (about 7.5Mb). The 0.6 download, which should be up soon, should be installed last. Hope that helps

I've sent it to CBR (who I owe yet again) and he's just waiting for Tosa to get online. Then it'll be uploaded.

No I don't think so - I probably copied someone else's. Believe me, you'll want to start again when the new update comes out.

Sounds good. One last thing... The cumins had kings? Im not too familiar with Cuman history, and cant find much on the web. If they did then ok, but if not perhaps something like Warleader or something in place of King? maybe War Chief?

    Hay

Is it normal that there are no dead bodys on the battlefield or am I the only one?
I am playing as the Almoravids. Nubian units got all the wrong unit icon wich makes it hard to keep them appart in battle, exept for Nubian spearman.
I would also like to see the correct unitpictures in the discription menu (strategic map).
And Building farmland in Sahara has no effect. Ok logic.

    thanks

Unfortunately there are no dead bodies.

The Battle Unit Icons will be sorted out for the final release. Info Pics could prove difficult but I'll have a go.

Just a reminder: the patch is all ready, I'm just waiting for Tosa to merge it and then it'll be ready to download. But he's not on at the minute

I'm not sure about the Cumans structure of nobility or leaders. I don't thing it would sound right with war chief. Maybe Khanate? But i don't know, i do soem research on the subject

Shame that they can't be playable straight away. Ah well. At least it's vacation, so I have all the time I want to to mod it. Will it be out soon?
As for the Cumans, they probably had a Khan, or a Khagan. Just a guess though.

I believe the Cumans were ruled by Khans.

It'll be Khans in the final release then if that is the case.

I wanted to have them playable too but I strongly advise that you don't. It's really fun building up your eastern faction in anticipation of the invasion. If you stick them in from the off, they won't expand very quickly and it isn't as exciting. Just a tip.

BKB, i have a sugestion for the next updates:
change flags/shields of Hungarians and Bizantines too; turn them more accurate.

For the Hungarians just see these link:
    http://flagspot.net/flags/hu_king.html#st

For the Bizantines, i think the most accurate is a red flag/shield with a golden double-head eagle, topped with a golden crown, similar to several coat of arms of some eastern europe nations, like Serbia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and so on.

BKB, I have also played medmod, as I am sure alot of you have done.

The BKB mod units are definitely cooler -- there are so many more choices so that you can make your faction's flavor consistent with your playing style. I liked it.

How difficult is it to move the cool BKB units to the medmod??

For those of you who have the facility there is actually a WinRAR version available NOW. It's the BKB download here:

    http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Mt...ads/MTWupload/

But those of you waiting for the WinZip version are gonna have to wait for a bit.

    Whoops,
Just downloaded and tried to open 0.6 for the second time and
Error in file #1: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): disk #1 offset: 4
Error in file #2: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): disk #1 offset: 2261

Error in file #10: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): disk #1 offset: 6470

Went to the address you posted and tried downloading the files zip and Z01. Guess your not supposed to download Z01.
The ZIPfile downloaded but when I opened it these error messages came up. It did let me install several files after these however. I'll post the details of what did download if nescessary.
Feeling a little cautious about installing. Have I downloaded the Winzip prematurely when I should have downloaded Winrar or ???

    OK,
Just ignore my wittering. I've found the WinRar file. The .Rar bit isn't visible on the download page thats my excuse anyway, or maybe I'm just a bit impetous. That besides ETA 3mins. (I guess the zip file isn't ready yet.)

p.s mbrasher, its very easy to move units from MedMod to BKB so guess its as easy to do the reverse. Just make sure you use Gnome editor and correct the appropriate factions and other relevant details. I prefer to add the units to BKB that way you don't have to sacrifice those lurvvvely New factions and the campaign map. You can script in alot of other stuff from MedMod yourself.

BKB, about Klibanophori, I don't have any idea. It could be cool to make Kataphraktoi armed with good bow (MTLG), lance and sword (they are considered to be the best medieval soldiers), good statistics and balance this with longer creation time and higher price, because they were trained in tactics and strategy, too while Klibanophoroi (or Klibanarii) would be heavy assault cavalry better in melee, but without bows and slower. This is only idea, because their equipment differed. Sometimes thy were used only like cavalry, sometimes like horse archers.
