Try clicking on start, -> control panel, -> folder options
Click on the "View" tab at the top of the window, and scroll down to "Hide extensions for known file types" or something along those lines. Uncheck this box, so there is no tick there and the box is empty. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it should look like this:

Click to apply the settings, and now go back to the efw file. You should be able to see the extension being "<file name>.efw". Now try and change that extension (the ".efw" part) to ".exe". If that doesn't work... well.

just installed mtw gold onto my XPS, but i cant find the link to download the supermod...any help out there?

anytime i try to download from the site, the same screen pops up...am i missing something, or do these links no longer exist??

Yeah, there seems to be something wonky with the Clan Takiyama site. You should still be able to download it from AtomicGamer, though.
