I must say I am most looking forward to this mod, and I think that this mod may have the potential to be great. Even though it isn't out I think this because the way it sounds on here.

EDIT-I'm going to begin work on the MOD again when MTTM is released which means you'll be seeing more "Roman" buildings on the battlefield.

A bit of news, I've started to write up a tech tree so that will be finished and then I will be making the buildings, then I will be moving onto the units, then a beta release.

Yes there is quite a bit left to do which is going to mean a large effort from me though I have a few obstacles that take up some of my time (School, girlfriend, new kitten, coursework).

Rest assured I'll be working on it tonight, screenshots will probably be around next week sometime, probably Friday.

NEWS UPDATE DISASTER

My Computer crashed earlier today.

However, this is not the kind of news yours expecting, I am not quitting with the MOD merely requesting something from ONE member of the community to prevent the MOD collapsing.

I have saved on a CD the campaign map, the Loc/Eng folder, the shields and the Heroes.txt which means, less than half the work has been totally lost thankfully.

The help I am looking for is somebody who will WILLINGLY accept (most likely daily) e-mails which contain files I have EDITTED that day and will look after it for me incase my system crashes again, then I can simply request that the "File Keeper" sends me the files, this is just a way to stop a system crash ruining my MOD. Please be aware that this job means you do not mess around with any of the files at all as I want them to be how I have editted them, it also means I don't want you releasing screenshots UNLESS you have a server to store them on and I have requested you take some.

Seen as I'm on the issue of help, I'd better comment on beta-testers.

Beta-Testers WILL be required, its is definate reality. However beta-testers WILL NOT be required until I begin work on making the units properly as it is the unit balancing that I require testers to work on.

Thank you again for reading, I am already at work installing MTW-VI once again, one other small thing is that I will be using the VI Patch for the MOD.

he can be you file keeper but I would like to be beta tester when the time comes but this is a bit terrible considering ther is still alot of work tot do (I would be your file holder but my comps in the shop so Im using a different one for now while my comp has diagnostics ect done to it.) I am happy that you put most of your wok on a disk good luck and what did you lose?

I lost all of the units I had made and all of the buildings I had made, which only puts me back around 3 days, the tech-tree I was writing up is on an A4 Pad so I haven't lost any of that so I can dive straight into buildings, I have lost my screenshots however but the ones I uploaded are still on my site.

Please try to hold in the excitement, this post is for updates and suggestions, if you wish to express your excitement please try to do it only once, not been too harsh but its not what the post is for.

Moving on from that I'm working on the buildings at this moment in time, expect them to finished to a beta standard sometime soon.

So Sorry to hear about your PC crashing Naggy, If I can help you re-do any loc or startpos work I am here, are you running win XP?, I had a crash last week as well and I lost all my documents, but thanks to system restore I was able to restore my PC to the way it was a day earlier before the crash... LOS

Yeah I'm using XP, however I have bought a new PC as it was the sixth time my other had crashed, all files have been transfered onto this one, the ones I could save atleast, the campaign startpos thankfully was saved to the disc, I'm getting into the stages where your help could be needed so it is likely you'll recieve a e-mail if I get stuck with anything.

The campaign map has a more weathered look but retains its map look, the look i wanted was for it to look like a map on a table rather than a living breathing world (Like the METW map).

Any comments on the map will be appreciated, I like how it looks personally.

First building has been implemented completely, it is the Supply Center and its upgrades.

Late November yes, but it will only be a beta release, and if it isn't up to standard by then I'll have to knock it back a little while again.

Currently I have run into problems with the units, it is majorly slowing the process down, I'm trying to rememedy this however.

Newest addition is the background at selection screens, they are now a painting from Pompeii rather than the usual wavy orange cloth background.

Here is a screenshot of the new look menu screen.

Current problem is that I have replaced the shield in the LArmWCav which is used by the Mounted Sergeant and uses the shield that pastes the faction logo onto the shield which is a big cause of CTD. I am working on it as the LArmWCav is the BIF been used for the Auxiliary Cavalry and possibly any light Carthaginian, Greek and Macedonian cavalry.

The process has been haulted simply because of this one problem, but its a problem I currently have no idea how to solve which is why its slowed down the Centurion MOD machine.

The MOD is beginning to take shape now so thats a good thing considering my system crash, but my new PC is far better so thats good.
