    Question

I'm playing as the Spanish and by King is breeding heirs like crazy. I've been getting a birth announcement every year. Well I go into my heir screen to see when my next prince will come of age and I notice that I have two 5 year old princess'

Even better I see that I also have two 2 year old princes.

Seems the king is shooting with two barrels.

I have never seen twins before in a game and I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and/or if it happens often.

    Thanks,

I had it once, and it was really gutting.

My english king had two sons first time around, so effectively two crown princes. Waited till they came of age, noting which was above the other in the listings, thinking that would be the one to get the throne.

When they come of age one is an 11 toed drinker, the other is a greta warrior and natural leader, the stats on the leader are pretty good, the drinker has crap all. To top it off, the drinker seems to be first in line for the throne

Then, when my king dies, his brother inherits instead So I get the good king, great warrior natural leader and so-on, but the loyalty of the other twin drops loads, down to about two, and with the loyalty drop of losing a great builder I start worrying about civil war (twins was a VERY common cause of civil war in medieval time) and send him off to die nobly against the germans.

Only time I;ve ever noticed it, but I was very confused for a while there.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.

My Turkish Sultan's wife recently gave birth to twin princes...both with average dread and acumen. Sadly, when both came of age, I lost them in an epic battle vs. The French at Tripoli.

Are you sure they are actuallly twins and not cousins?

In my current Italian campaign I haven't seen twins yet, but I've seen clones. I have a couple of Francesco Petrarca (he is featured in the game as a 3 star emissary)...talk about plagiarism.

This is why I ask so many questions at the Org - don't have enough time to play the game and find out for myself

Twins? Yeah, I've birthed twins quite a few times over the last year or so, but ONLY if they are gay, adulterers, multi-digited of foot, severe alcoholics, lazy, and terminally obese. Anyone actually seen a sixteen year old secret adulterer in real life?

BTW, congrats to all the twins & trips. One at a time is more than enough for me.

    Cool

Ovaat... I have. Long story, don't ask.

So has anyone had two twins where one didn't have a nearly debilitating vice from the outset?

I haven't yet. I think my king's twins are coming from his sister.

One of my twins in this case was excellent. 5* natural leader. The other wasn't completly horrible, but did have a bad vice. Can't remeber which one any more, but he was a 4* and a pervert, or something like that. Of course you can guess which one actually became king.

The twin could be the brother of the king, who was born same year as his son. I't can happen is the heir is married before the king dies. Have newer seen a twin in my games.

Is childbirth randomized or not? I have never had twins in my game, princess or otherwise-sounds cool though, now I will have to play until I get some...
BTW this is kinda off topic but i just found out something weird... My great grand parent on my dad's side had FIVE sets of twins Isn't that crazy? All of them were boys too You could have 2 groups of 5 boys walking around and they would look exactly the same....

Yeah, I've seen this too. My king died, but the future king was only 5 or 6 years old, so the king's brother took the crown. And then his son (of the same age as the future king) appeared in the royal line too.
It was a pity that the future king had lousy stats though, whilst his nephew had superb stats...

I was just wondering... Has there ever been any king who had a twin as oldest sons/heirs to the throne?
I remember the movie The Man in the Iron Mask where Leo Di Caprio was playing King Louis XIV and his twin brother, but I suppose that this 'twin' was a result of a creative scenario writer
Have there been any real historical twins/heirs to the throne?
