Well i think this ideas came after ice mentioned a players league
Ok i will give this a go.Once these tourneys have ended.
Why not and if possible could the org do a league for 4v4?
IMO this would be awesome fun no comp just friendlies LOL.But with a league table?
We could have Clans and teams of ronins with well know names.
game 1 could be 1000k each plyer
game 2 2k etc which we should go up to 10k,which is 10 games.
A quick and easy league but fun! If it takes off can ply more games like next 10 at 6k next 10 after that 7k
We will have rules that all like or most will, like max 3 units or 4 depends on u guys.
If u would be interested in this plzs post here,so i can see how many ppl or clans would like to take part?
Then maybe we can take our time in setting rules etc for this, and make sure it is fun with these awesome battles
Also need to find the correct connection to host these battles as well,so plzs state if ur con can host these?
K thxs for reading and hope to hear ur response on this matter.

    Gah!

It might be too much to have many battles like that.

It is hard to get a team of four online at a specified time, and a league of this type would require a great deal of administration work.

Krast might be able to help with this part, having some experience in this area.

Krast's suggestion would be to have a single meeting-time each week, say SAT 2300 hrs GMT, when the league will meet.

Each team should play each other team three times, once on Seibagahara or a similar flat map, and twice on a more interesting map like Hoki, once as attacker and once as defender.

The koku and unit limits should be stable, and apply the same to eah player in each battle. Any limits should be discussed and agreed in advance of the league.

The battles should be clearly scheduled in advance of the games -- at least 5 days ahead, if not more.

Each team should actually field five players, so if one guy doesn't show up, they can still play.

The most reliable connection should be used as the host.

Some convention must be established in advance to handle cases where players drop. Since drops are so common in 4v4, this is an important consideration.

Finally, Krast suggests opening the league to all players who can field a team. There should be a meeting time at the start of the league where all players are required to attend simultaneously, as a demonstration of their commitment to participate.

    Hopefully, these suggestions are useful.

    Gah!

How about a league which works the same way as the English Preimier League?

There's Premier, Div 1, Div 2 and Div 3. You play an allotted number of battles and you recieve the following

    Victory-3 Points
    Loss-1 Point

After the amount of games have been played, the bottom three or two are relegated to the lower Div, unless they are in Div 3 (No Conference)

Then there could be playoff's for the last place of the top three of every division (Apart from PShip)

And again, following FOOTBALL's lead (English damn it!) we have cup tournaments, one would be for 1v1's the other for 2v2's, what do you think (When you reply, just imagine the league would get all the participants, just tell me what you think)

The 1v1 League site is built but wont be puttin out invitations till all the tourneys have finished.Game play is as follows depending on entries:
4 divisions each consiting of 12 players
    Home and away games
Players choose home map from 10 maps listed
Promotion for the 2 top players in each league
Relegation for bottom 2 players in each league
    Saturday match days
All friendly games no comp matches so wont effect honour
Most of all its for fun only.

4v4 is good. But I guess the drops is potential a source of misunderstanding and conflicts. Yes, as Krast put it, a well-defined and specific set of rules of engagement is needed. Tell me if you need my help.

So if we get all our heads together and make some rules.
Will the Org be so kind as to host it here?
Then maybe we can see how many ppl will enter, thus see if it will work.
Krast i have no probs with u or anybody else running it.U will probably do a much better job than me.Fast prefers to be the right hand man.And likes the PR JOB
But maybe better if we have 4 ppl running it to share the work load it takes to run and organise.

    Guys:
Why will we all play a tourney if there is still a other tourney playing we r now bussy with: Questing contest,Org tourney, dom's campaign and we HAD a 2v2 tourney and it didnt go on!
and if u like to have more fun why dont we all come online anymore?
In old STW there were sometimes over 100 players online in MI here we say WOW when there r around 50 online (and than noone joins or hosts a game)
i think we first have to play the tourneys and other things that r bussy right now we have to play them till the finish and than start a other tourney like icey says.

I like the Idea 4vs4 Championship... massive battles bring EMOTION to the game and show us the capabilities of our allies!...

I pity the team that fields 5 players all with modem connections and sub-300 MHz PCs...

But, I pity their challenger more...

I would suggest that nothing is official until we see how this tourney gets on.
I would not recommend that the org backs anything until it is proved that it will be supported. (That is just my opinion and not that of the Org itself
To have officially sponsored events by the org is better but only if it is respected.
Or It would become like many others.

League is a good idea. Just one question: how do you set up the divisions? Based on honour points?

4v4 sounds good too. Alas, I think it is not feasible. So, just keep playin for fun

Well... if you can't do a 4v4 tourney, do a...

2v2 or 3v3 tourney on Vanya maps! That is, ONLY Vanya maps allowed.

I think it would be a big winner.

Now... who gets Vanyarima as their home province?

Lets see who wants what or both be kool.
We dont really know how many want or would like to take part yet?
Maybe Tera could put something up after we get rules sorted out?
I think maybe 5 ppl should be running the show. Then always help on hand to organise things etc.

Why should you forget it? To the contrary, you should start it ASAP. Perhaps even after the end of the group stage of the current tourney.

The 1v1 league is for when medieval totalwar comes out.I think it will be better for all players to play the league when the new release comes out because currently theres to many tourneys on at the moment.
