    Question

    Hi all

I just started a new HRE campaign in 1.1 and my ambassador got to Georgia when hunting for skirts just as this province rebelled. The Byz gave up and I started thinking that it would be a good idea to have so much time to build Georgia up for the horde and to have a Alan 4 star in my team - got him cheap too for just a bit more than 4 K. Now - beeing HRE with notorious disloyal generals I gave him the title and having loyality increasing V&V helped and I was looking forward enjoying life on the Black Sea beaches - next turn my King died and his son has no loyalty increasing V&V and the just bribed stack was down to loyalty 2-0 - fat chance of rebellion. I decided to cut losses by selling every building off and have some fun in Kazhar with 4 stacks of rebel peasants and some (nearly 5 K of them) - my ally Byz sent in a force too and after a lucky shot of my bowmen in one of the first salvos killing their gen we actually won and that with few losses. as I had more troops I got the province and the gen became a 5 star plus the risky attacker - when I was finished drooling I noticed his loyalty was still 2

So the idea to get him under my kings control to keep him from rebellig hatched - it beeing early in the game I marched him through rebel provinces to Lituania with two more to go to my lands (looks like keeping him busy also keeps him from rebelling) but I m starting to get second thoughts the closer he gets as it is 1110 and I m in no shape to deal with 3 3/4 Alloi Prol. 3 full Archers, one full spear unit and a full Alan cav with a 5 star gen rebelling in one of my provinces. I was planning to get him into my kings stack to keep him under control so now the question:

I havent really checked, but it seems that units in same prov ince or in stack of king increase their loyalty over time but I don t know if that is permanent or not. And I don t know if they can rebel if a unit is part of the kings stack. - please help I really want him

Disband other units in his army until you feel safe, then marry him off to a daughter ASAP.

Ty for the fast answer Doug - I forgot about the daughters - I m scared about the proloi as I can t build even mt x bows yet but I d love to keep them as having some heavy cav so early would make things easier early

I already have a 2 shields gov post waiting too but was worried I would not be able to keep the prloi (I have to check if some of them are generals I can marry my useless daughters off to he he)

anyways - was fun doing the mini Golden Horde trick by stomping around in the east - can only recommend it

Daughters are one of the very few things I miss when playing Muslim factions, especially the Turks.

Turkish generals aren't the most loyal bunch.

keep him separate form the rest of the stack and have a low command but high loyalty commander lead the stack.

though he is separate from the stack, he will still command battles and without men, is less likely to rebel.

if he is in king's stack, he can't rebel though the king will command all battles unless you mess around a bit.

thanks katank but his loyalty is now pretty good after marriage and beeing only one province away from my king and getting a title - I could keep his whole stack and didn t have to disband any unit
Now he got new V&Vs too - first thinker, then deep thinker - so I got a skillfull attacker, risky attacker, deep thinker with 5 stars and 5 acumen in command of Pomeronia and my trading network isn t even up yet - had to curb my building ambitions and disband a few other units to be able to afford him as the upkeep of his stack is quite high.

    thanks for the help

I dont think that you need to wait for him to get home to give him a title. Just drop it on him where he is, then bring him in.
