    Unhappy

    This is embarrassing, but I can handle it. I responded to a thread yesterday concerning screenshots. However, the thread wasn't about screenshots, it just came up in cross-talk. For the life of me, I can't find my question to see if anyone responded.

    Question is, I can take the shots, the file appears in my files, but when I try to open it, it's simply gibberish. I am under the impression I need additional software to actually view the image. Correct? If so, what? And if what, can I download from somewhere, or do I need to purchase? As long as I've been playing this game, it still amazes me to find more pertinent info I hadn't known. IS THERE NO END?

    Any recent ACDSee viewer can open it. As for free software, the forum does not allow the posting of freebies, perhaps they would receive a warning for that.

    Many thanks, CEBEI, but what is an ACDsee viewer? Still ignorant.

    ACDSee is a very popular photo-picture viewer. You can find more info here. There is a free trial there, but I guess that expires in like 30 days.

    Bless you, my son. And may the Pope never dare excommunicate you.

    CEBEI;

    Once I knew what I was looking for, with your help, I found a freebie to download. AND IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY Cool stuff. Thanks again.

    BTW, from what I remember of the Turks in Korea & Nam, don't think the Pope would have the guts to send over a crusade. Pretty tough cookies.

    Actually, I didn't. One of my closest friends, now deceased, did two tours as a LRRP. He mentioned he worked with some. Don't think he would lie; he was a minister after retiring with 20 years. I just took his word for it.
    Then again, there's a lot we'll never know. Again, thanks.

    Hehe not Turkish, Bulgarian . But I used to live in Kircali, which is a town in southern Bulgarian in the Rhodope mountains close to the Greek and not too far from the Turkish border. There were a lot of Turks and I had many friends who spoke the language. Sadly I know mostly curse words than anything else. BWT Kircali is the Turkish name in Bulgarian it is spelled Kardzhali. It was named after the infamous Turksih bandits who roamed the coutry side killing, raping, pillaging and selling people into slavery. They were primaraly Turkish with some Cherkez and Karakachans too. As you can tell I love history . It appears to me from the posts you've written you are pretty advanced in this game and any help would be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks, CAZBOL, but I actually did that before I started whining. I'm beginning to believe I never sent the post after writing it. Oh, Lord, there goes another brain cell. Bloody alcohol.
