    Unhappy

A strange thing happens to me sometimes, and I was wondering if it happens to anyone else. I am in college, and majoring in History and Music Education = no time to play TW, except after midnight. After playing till around 1:30 or 2:00, I go right to bed. I will then sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, mumbling to myself about damn horse archers or giving commands to my nonexistent fake generals like watch the left flank, they have men at arms in those woods. I know it is just because it was the last thing I did before going to sleep, but I was wondering if anyone else experiences this kind of thing?

Yep, I've done it. While in class, I was falling asleep of course. Through my half closed eyes I could see the teacher walking to my left side. I tried to send some units I thought I had to the left flank to protect it from her attack.

I usually just think about it in class. But when I am taking cold medicine, I have the TW Dreams. It is very wierd.

I don't do this myself, when I'm asleep atom bombs could go off and I wouldn't stir, I've regularly closed my eyes, opened them again to find that 8 hours have passed, and I didn't even flinch in the meantime.

My g/f, however, talks in her sleep. SHe generally plays the viking map, and several times I've decifered what she's mumbling as 'Hah Take that' and 'Beserkers CHARGE', but the funnies had to be 'Noooo, my mounted crossbowmen keep falling off their horses...'

She rarely knows about this in the morning though...
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.

Do you like the Bush one, or my Sig, I am guessing the Bush one. I may not always agree on his view, but not only was he wat we needed, and he is Texan. Thus you cant go wrong, with Bush for President in November 2004 (I dont mean to change anyone's views)

Thanks for the welcome Gregoshi, and yes, I meant your Bush tag AqConsul. I dont always agree with him either, but hey, no one is perfect. But, dont want to go OT. One time I had a dream that I was seiging a castle in MTW and I got killed by a shower of arrows, and then the crazy STW victory music started playing, hahaha.

When I had to fight through all the battles from the Longest Year, I spent one entire evening fighting of rebels and reemerging Turks at Constantinople, and defended Ireland from the rebels. Went to sleep at 02.00 hours and woke up four hours later (back to work), all the time I was dreaming how my cavalry charged the enemy handgunners downhill.

The best thing, it was in color and a fat 3D dream, and I knew that while I was watching them, I was thinking There are more than just thousand of my soldiers. Much more.

So, that's my M:TW in 3D. Talking about weird dreams; times where I dreamed of bare-bosomed girls are long forgotten…

Wow You have a girlfriend to play around with? I mean play MTW with ;)

Yep, she's the one who ought Medieval TW in the first place. Somehow I manage to mix lots of TW, talking to whole bunch of people online untill 3am most nights, AND having a g/f and two 3yr old boys. I think I might occasionally sleep, but I can't remember last time it happened.

I think I sorta had dreams about MTW and sometimes when going to sleep I also think about what I want to do next in my current campaign, complete battleplans so to speak, or which thing I want to add/alterate of my own personal mod (which is to my own liking). It's actually MedMod v2.04 with units added from v3.** plus many other alterations and additions (as in other new units) I've made myself. The unit stats for example are completely different from MedMod v3.14 and for example the Italians don't have Feudal nor Chivalric Sergeants, but Pavisiers and Italian Infantry (why use Chivs while Ita Inf is almost the same?).

I didn't like certain things about v3.** and decided to take what I liked about it and put it into MedMod v2.04 plus I've implemented many of my own thoughts and also ideas I've read from others on these boards. Though I do have (a) certain unit(s) that isn't/aren't historically accurate (fictious (Dutch Arquebusiers f.e.) - correct word?) mostlikely, but I might take them out later.

Wow I seem to ramble on about something it wasn't about

I've never had a M:TW dream but I've had dreams about several other games. I guess I shouldn't play PC so much... Nah

Yes, and Mum says she can hear me from 3 rooms away. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night screaming No William Wallace defeated my army again and Mum says I am usually muttering something about my longbowmen. Oh well. Must've been from all the times I've played Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn in the Historical Battles

AARRRRGGG If I have to look at that Bush/Cheney tag again I'm going to vomit.

AqConsul: Let me suggest a little light reading for you:

Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Franken and Dude, Where's My Country?, by Michael Moore.

Both of those books offer a perspective not often heard in North America anymore, given that Bush et al have done such a good job wielding 9/11 as a bludgeon with which to smash all unflattering media coverage of their administration...

By the way AqConsul, this is not meant as a personal attack on you, but when you have a tag like that, you have to expect some fairly strong reactions. Also, please allow me to apologize to everyone else for being so off topic...

I have been heard mumbling about Longbows and charging cavalry myself... I was told that One time I even cried out Talar Intentity in my sleep. (I guess I have heard that just too many times)
