Does military aid have a strengthening impact on an alliance, similar to a marriage? Playing Russians/Late, I've bailed two post-crusade German occupying forces out of Horde sieges in Kiev and Khazar. Will they remember this later, or were my rescues simply the expected duties of an ally?
As the computer tends to cancel all alliances with me I can't answer that but at least your king got some influence by breaking the sieges.
