This is correct. If you are 18 you will still be able to buy the uncensored version - if the publisher still offers it and you find a store to buy it from (regular shops and even most online shops would not want to bother with age verification).

Castle Wolfenstein is another case as here in addition to the violence there is the Nazi theme - so the uncensored version is completely banned.

The toning down sometimes leads to ridiculous results - e.g., in C&C Generals the human soldiers are robots in the German retail version.
