Image posting

Hello,
I'm creating a sig ( just writing text on a pic off google) and I'm wondering if the image has to be on the internet or can it be on my Hard drive? IF it has to be on the internet, can someone host it for me?

it has to be on the internet. otherwise it wouldn't be accessible if you are not online.

for image hosting, you can probably try and upload for the org filespace or sign up at a site like angelfire, tripod, etc.
