Thread: Is it Possible

    Question

Would it be possible to change the names of the factions without changing their shields and the campaign map? Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the board, ancientworldnow

Yes it is, and it has been done. Some of the mods available from this site have actually done that.

I'm not certain but I think all you need to do is to go into the Eng/Loc directory, open up names.txt and edit all the labels to do with naming your faction that are contained in squiggly brackets {ie these}. Don't touch the ones in square brackets as they are linked to several other files.

Don't forget to backup the names.txt file before you start playing with it.
