Im dabbling a bit with Hetmans Mod proposal at the moment. Working on some late 15th early 16th century units, so I can't promise commitment. However I noticed you've not included the Umayyad Caliphate. Think its got to be in there I know the Ummayad dude was only an Emir but he was pretty much indipendant and did fight (and win) against the Abbasids becuase of his indipendent style of government. That besdies there are shed loads of Unit icons to be found on the DBA website. They cover all the armies of the time, I 'll do some research and post you some Jpegs, if it helps. Also you could (eventually) borrow those HTW elephants for a Persian styli army, (maybe a bit fancifull, but...) and perhaps plunder a few more body bifs for other stuff.
