Cant Train some units...?

I have been playing the germans and have went on a Crusade and won. I currently have the master horse guild, the Master armorer, and the baronial Estate. Problem:: I still cant build the unit. I am in the early area of the game so do i have to start over in a later game section?
Also the swiss armored pike men, cant buildm' either.

Sorry to greet you with bad news. Gothic Knights can only be built in the Late Period. Same goes for Swiss Armored Pikemen.

Check out the Clan Beserk website with their unit comparison tool. It also provides build requirement information.

You have to wait until you get to the right period. If you right click on the building and don't see the name of the unit it's supposed to give you, you have to wait.

so then I can play Early Period and just wait to get the gothic knights?

I put a good 9 hours playing yesterday and now I'm starting over in the late period, *NOT FUN* to have to do this all over again, and SUPRISE, when I see the Swiss King with 9 stacks of command stars.... OH HELL is comming and the devil is comming with a pike

The period changes on set dates. High bigins at 1205 and Late around 1320 so you dont have to start all over again.
