Just a little heads up for you all. I tried this demo and really liked it. It's REALLY FUN and extremely amusing. You are guaranteed a great laugh with this game. Thought I'd let you all at the org know about it, in case you have not heard already.

I downloaded it but it only has MP. My mom doesn't like me playing Multiplayer so I can't play it. The stuff I've heard makes it sound fun though.

Tasty… Ok, Soldner, BF, Join Operations… Good-bye, social life, well, the mankind was bound to transcend over that relic sooner or later, and now we have several good excuses to do so

Did you try America's Army voigtkampf ? It's free and the squad based tactics are AWESOME. It's only Multiplayer. There are some lag issues but nothing that prevents you from having a good time. You need a good team to play with though coz it's very TEAM oriented.

That is my kind of game but I'm guessing it is nearly impossible to play as it was intended. From what I've heard of JO people never want to have any kind of teamwork.

Funny, I had the America Army, can't remember which version, on even two separate PC magazine DVD's, and, fun-fun, both were corrupted and couldn't be installed. The AA was simply too big for a download via ISDN, so I gave it up… I might try to find a newer version though, I heard they are going for a new engine soon.

I played Joint Ops 2 hours yesterday afternoon with 3 friends. We were on the UK Island Hoppper 120 mna server. Absolutely no lag at all and the server was FULL The only problem is that when the server is that big it's really hard to get around, every chopper flying into the combat zone is so full people are falling out of the chopper (literally).

Hey CBR this is a really fun FPS game, it's not deep at all. I just mention that as I know you like stuff to have meaning. There is meaning in squad based team tactics though and it's thrilling when they work. Yesterday we cycled through Sniper Team, Spec Ops, and Mechanized Assualt tactis. It was awesome.

About AA is actually very playable the way it was intended to. you just need a good team who wants to work as a team. AA is by far the most realistic weapons modelling I have ever seen in any FPS. All the weapons are very well modelled though the AK-47 sound could be much improved. I play with our guys about twice a week, and when we have a game plan and work to make it succeed, the game is awesome and you can really get some very cool tactics going. It's really a great game. Again it's best if you have a good team. Sometimes you find a good team on a server and you can just join them but otherwise you need be part of a serious squad. It's true that most individual players don't play the game as it was intended and are just rambo-ing around. That is not the case with serious squads where teamwork is THE thing, and results in really playing the game as intended, as a TEAM.
