hey ppl, since i can only post here, hpe this question is valid..and here it goes. i'm currently stayin in my local university hostel, and play mtw:vi in my free time and loving it. all the comps in the sch r connected in 1 huge network which i believe many of u shld noe, and of course comes with their internal firewall, so does this qualify as a LAN? i tried the other day with my fren but we coudlnt c the games created by either of us, so is it because of the firewall? as my buddies and i r able to play frozen throne over the network via LAN too. Thus is there anyway to do the same thing? many tks =)

In regular online play firewalls can prevent hosting...I think there may sometimes be ways around it however.

slackker, try running a search here in the Entrance Hall and the Apothecary for LAN. There are issues with your situation, but I don't recall solutions or work arounds.
