can some1 tell me how quick the ai learns or whether they just have som sort of random determined intelligence... sometimes when i win a battle against an AI general and he survives if i face him again the same tactics wont work as well as before, that is all good as it makes for a better game. but it seems that all ai gens become instantaneously aware of some of my tactics. is this normal or are the ai just really quite good

I believe the ai is basically just randomly choosing between three offensive battle strategies: left side, center or right side attack. On defense it does occasionally split forces if it can hide some units in trees. The bridge defense and offense seems to follow a single pattern. Maybe someone else has seens the ai try other things.

Running away is the tactic it uses against me.

personally, not knowing much about AI engines, I think that if one uses the same tactic aver and over again the AI wises up.
It happens in many other games such as Madden fooball etc.
Be creative and you are normally in with a good shout.
    Just my humble thoughts.

Cheers boromir... what i really want to know is does the lessons learned by 1 AI gen automatically pass on to all the other ai gens...i dont use same tactics over and over but sometimes i will depending on certain conditions, sometimes it seems that the knowledge of a dead AI gen(If I killed him) is passed on to all others in the game
