For some reason way back when I had bribed a group of Golden Hoard Soldiers. Well, when I used them their arrows were flammed. I havent seen it since. Has anyone else seen this? or for that matter can it be done to other units?

I think they only flame in seige.
well, if you zoom in a bit, the arrows look like they have a bit of flames on them.
however, real flaming arrows are in sieges when you see a nice smoke trail from the volleys.
for basic forts, you don't need siege. bring along 6+ archers and enjoy the pyrotechnics. blasts down the wall in a few quick volleys.
You can get flaming arrows if you aim at a building (I think).

Golden Hoard Sailors? Do you mean Golden Horde Warriors? Or Genoese Sailors? Or Golden Whored M****F****S?
you can change the arrow of any unit via editing of crusaders unit prod11 i made m longbow projectile FLAMING ARROW
