just curious really...most ppl play 10k koku games, in them i usually use an hon 8 nodachi with no weps or armour upgrades. if its 20k then i`ll use an hon 9 nodachi with ful weps and armour he oncerouted an entire army by himselfin a 4v4

I like HC for its good overall specs plus its mobility. YS (high honor) will make good leader unit too. The highest honor I can have is 5 and I can only affort one as my commander unit. I haven't played any high koku (more than 10K) game because I know that such game is unbalance.

Heavy Cavalry must be the best choice.
    It dies slowly.
It is a cav - mobility.
It kills easily everything but YS.
    It has very good morale.

    As a general ?

I like Samurai Archers, they can be save in the back of my lines and wont rout unless all is lost and everyone is routing...

I always used a SA general in SP, however, I prefer a cav general in MP battles.

I usually use an H3 Kensai for 8k games, by the time he needs to start rallying troops he is up to H4 or H5, which I take as being "free" value...he rallies better than an H3, for no extra Koku.

Recently I have taken to using an H4 or H5 monk taisho. I think it is important to use a unit that is not vulnerable to any given unit type. Although, you always have to make a choice as nothing is invulnerable. (Kensai and Monks are easily shot to pieces). I've learned to avoid direct charges when attacking in favor of flanks, or following in a Nagicav charge.

Heavy Cav does not work for me as it falls prey to spears too easily. I usually find that there are enemy spears around the areas my General is needed (hottest fighting). Most H2H starts something like this: enemy nagicav charge blocked with YC, YS on both sides respond, drawing monks/dachi.... by the time HC gets there the YS have cleaned up the other cav and ready to kill my general.

Anyway, thats just my style, so it will be different for everyone.

Ok, I'm pretty much a newbie to MI. I've started using an H0 Kensai as my gen. I don't think he died yet... although admitedly kensai kills have been pretty crap. What is general opinion on this.

BTW in STW I always used an H5 Yari Sam on hold. (dunno if hold protects your gen in MI)

i think kensai are only really effective when given at least hon 3 and maybe a weapon upgrade... that may improve kenny`s kills, if i take em i allways have him on at least hon 5
