Rules about using images in your Sig?

I've checked the forum Rules and the first page of the Read This First post, and I don't see an answer...

Can I place an image in my Sig line? The fact that the forum doesn't allow Avatars suggests that this would be inappropriate. But then the Read This First post explains how to post images Also several people seem have sig images (but they are more senior than nuby little me )

I'd like to make sure its kosher before I do it.

I think the rules goes:

You can place an image in your siggy but it must be no bigger than a stamp. Unless the person was joking when they said that .... meh

Dimensions: 500 pixels wide x 150 pixel high
No sound
