How can you rate this as a bad point? They STATED there wasn't going to be an MP campaign That's like saying 'the only bad thing about this FPS is that it doesn't feature any resource management'Originally Posted by [b

I'm interested by this unit, looks like my Germanian hordes will have their wives nearby to make sure they don't act dishonorably.Originally Posted by [b

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.
Surprised - was I - to find that the battles of Bibracte and Carrahae both took place in 500AD.

Other than that - they were decent previews.

Looks good, apart from the following:
"There are 102 types of units in the game, including dogs, flaming pigs (useful for scaring elephants), and even screeching women or naked barbarians. ("There's plenty of barking mad people in the world," Simpson told us, explaining that these unusual units were actually a historical part of real battles.)"
The 'actually a historical part of real battles' was a bit misleading.

How so? The 'Screeching Women' and 'Naked Barbarians' actually fought in battles. Just look at the Celts at Mona island as an example... for the screaming women.Originally Posted by [b

Yea, looks like no one is going to move CA off of that one - regardless of what the historical record actually contains.Originally Posted by [b

Sir Robin the Not-quite-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot,
who had nearly fought the Dragon of Agnor,
who had nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol,
and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.
I am not sure if CA meant that every unit was historically accurate in that interview... He was probably just talking about the ones mentioned.

I like this part a lot:
