i have been reading through all of the posts here for days and can't seem to find out why my STW MI keeps crashing. i have a newer dell with an audigy 2 sound card and geforce 128mb card running xp. all the drivers are current. i have all of the patches. the game will run but will crash on a whim. sometimes before a battle sometimes in the throne room. the old man in the throne room squeaks and squeals like r2-d2. i tried running the game in 98 mode but it doesn't help. what can i do??? i love this game but i don't want to have a computer just for it. any thing would be great thanks

Hi ....I had a very similar problem when I upgraded my 'puter....at first I thought it was because of XP (I had been running ME)....but after I'd posted my specs I was informed that the graphics card i had wasnt supported. A quick trip down to computer xchange to buy an older card (cost £10) and voila ....btw it would be a good move to post ur 'puter specs and then mebbe some of the techy guys can give u more specific advice....sry I cant be of more help

There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Greeting stele. You are part of a growing parade of people with STW issues with WinXP and/or newer PCs. I'm not sure what the cure is but I'll see if I can get our tech guys to devote some time to the issue.
