i downloaded Mozilla today to escape the horrid Flash Player which was forced upon me against my will by IE 6.0 (with no way to disable it of course)

now i find out that Mozilla is just as bad, and too now comes with an integrated Flash Player. that SUCKS

i HATE having anything flash on my screen against my will whilst i am using the Internet

are there any browsers on the market right now that do not have this BS Flash Player integration? i'm really fed up with this rape-like assault upon my eyes.

i'm hoping i won't be having to configure Ad-blocking software to block all .GIFS and anything else that might have the possibility to flash just because all web browsers nowadays are made by jackasses who like performing acts of forced entry upon the end-user

I don't think any browser comes with macromedia flash player already installed. Its you the user who have to install it to view certain websites. A lot of game companies use flash to make better looking websites & also more interactive for the viewers.
I think you have it mixed up with something like unwanted pop-ups/redirection or really annoying flickering advertisements. A number of programs can be used to make these annoying adds not just flash .
Below is a site made with flash now its not a great example of what you can do but it is good.
    example of flash site

Firefox has a built in pop-up blocker that works very well its also a lot more stable than IE6 which is old & made by M$ & uses active x which can be used to do all sorts of nasty stuff to your pc.

will Firefox stop everything from flashing?

will Ghostzilla stop everything from flashing?

you're right, i might be getting Flash Player mixed up with other stuff. that is highly possible.

what i DO know is that nothing ever used to flash on the Internet unless *I* gave it permission to starting with frames on or off in the old Netscape. the Internet was 100 million times better when nothing ever moved on it and I refuse to forfeit that paradise for the sake of conforming to and the eyeball-raping flashing ads that have no infested the Internet like Black Plague-carrying rats.

why are the damn smiley GIFS next to my post window flashing? in my day (the GOOD DAYS) GIFs never flashed. i REALLY hate those flashing smilies on this site and every other site that has them, in addition to anything else that flashes in my browser

i already can stop pop-ups. pop-ups are not my concern.

please give me directions on how become to 100% flash-free. by that i mean, i want a browser that will NEVER FLASH ANYTHING period. can i disable all the stuff that flashes in Mozilla?

the only reason why i haven't taken a measure such as blocking all GIFs is cuz some Forums need them for proper navigation. i need a solution that will disable all flashing things for me and still let me perform normal functions on the net such as posting in forums

Ghostzilla will stop you seeing even pictures unless you roll over them. You can set the level of obstruction.

Navaros, I'm making an assumption that when you say flash you mean something is animated or moving.

In IE6 go to the Tools menu, select Internet Options and then the Advanced tab in the window that comes up. Scroll down to the Multimedia section and un-check the Play animations in web pages. Then click appy and okay buttons. That should help some but I don't know if it will take care of all your gripes. I know it stopped the smilies on this site from moving.

I don't think what you are complaining about is these new browsers, it is how the internet is evolving. Motion has become the in thing and sound is coming up fast too as more people get broadband connections. This is what they call progress.
