Woohoo. I lost badly but it was a great learning experience. Perhaps my daimyo will see fit to give me another one of his armies soon.

Bayushi, just remember to eat, sleep on occassion, go to the bathroom, grunt towards your family every few hours and call in sick to work/school. The rest will take care of itself while you play hours on end in a vain attempt to slake your thirst for online battles.

Congrats on entering a whole new world.

Fortunately (or rather, unfortunately) STW online seems to draw its online crowd only during a very narrow window of opportunity every day so I would be unable to disregard all of my life's obligations in favor of STW even if I could summon the slack to try.

But thanks for the warning I have seen others succumb to similar games.

Yes it is hard to find a game sometimes on Shogun. Thats part of the reason why I went out and bought MTW.

Nice name Togai...remember that the Crane are better than the Scorpion tho hehe

Anything the Crane can do, the Scorpion can do sneakier.

I hope to find a good way to employ a few units of Battlefield Ninja in multiplayer so I can live up to my namesake. If only you could posion your weapons in STW...

Here are tips on BFNinjas that came from a player who was effective with them. They arent used that much in the mp scene but if yur interestested i posted this in a thread on hashishin (BFN of MTW):

Tips that Shcazzacazz gave for BFN (could probably be applied to Hashishin as well):

    1) Only ever use them in a wooded map if you ever hope to hide them. (might be hard in desert hehe)

    2) Choose good covering weather (rain, the heavier the better)

    3) When you have to leave the trees at any point and still need cover, run your ninja to their destination in low visibilty conditions only. If the weather tends to change from low to normal again, STOP your ninja from moving and wait for weather to change again.

Pretty much they only good for taking out an enemy gen at the right time imo...

What does MP look like? Is there the strategy map as well, or is it only real time battles?

Only real time battles. However unlike the campaign SP you can have big battles with 6 or 8 armies on the map at once.
