    Illogical-maybe,but I`m sure it is a fact.Osprey presents ski trooper with one stick in one hand and with bow and arrows in other.Plus they had muskets in the later time.But I think it depended from some fashion of skiing(they were using legs more often than today.Stick was used sporadically).I`m not sure,but I need those information to finish animation of ski unit.

    Greetings all,

    Returning to serious gaming after too many years in academia, I come upon Total War, and esp. Hellenic TW. Very damn nice. There was a comment above re other versions of the 30 Years War - there was (is) one; it's a "mod" by one Drummaker (sorry about the spelling!) some 10 years ago from the Warlords II series (Deluxe). Available at Warlords Encyclopedia (Bob Heeter).

    I will wait, impatiently, for the spring version. Thanks for working on this!

    I am sure that they indeed used only one stick to move. About their pose - it was similar to the present skiiers, so watch some sport channels or so

    No need to worry about the fact that they will use only one side to push themselves, that is pretty enough as well.

    Hey,

    I have a few questions on these skiing units:

    Namely, how will the AI handle them in arid and desertic climates? I don't think it should be possible for them to fight in those climates at all except as maybe rank-and-file light infantry.

    I will try to make them very hard to build for the AI, but if someone chooses them to use in the desert intentionally I can't do anything against it - it is player's choice after all even if completely unrealistic

    Okay perhaps this is more for Pike and Musket 2 (Medieval Total war 2) but the capital of Circassia should be Chantchir not Chantgir I just realized my mistake sorry about that!

    BTW here is something you can use to show how the mod Is progressing...


    For example lets just say that right now, we are at 94% overally.

    It looks nice but I would feel like talking with robot or reading print out from computer.I prefer to read what Cegorach says about progress .Personally I`m to lazy for making such a advancement bar

    Hmm I just go with "img search".

    Example: "<img src="pictures/picture1.png" and picture1 comes up. But it was a long time ago a worked with html so I don't know...

    Nope there is something more complicated...

    The skii units will always have the option to 'dismount' before the battle into light sniper infantry called Marksmen, but during the winter BEWARE !

    About the clue->Cegorach knows when it will be the proper time for it.I can only give You a tip that Swedish were also had a tough fight with them.
