Lately, since becoming a member of this forum my interest in medieval warfare has grown. I guess it first started when I found the book list that is sticked in the entrance hall. In my searches for books that described medieval warfare, I ran across a very concise Atlas of the middle ages. The language is very accessible unlike many medieval books written by historians which seem more concerned with archaic word choices...

    The book is:

    The Cambridge Illustrated Atlas
Warfare - The Middle Ages 768 thru. 1487
    Nicholas Hooper & Matthew Bennett

The content covers the following chapters:

    The Wars of Charlemagne
    The Vikings
    The Tenth-Century Kingdoms
    The Danish Conquest of England
    The Norman Conquest of England
    The Angevin Empire
The German Empires under Federick Barbarossa
    Eastern Europe and the Mongols
    Thirteenth English Civil Wars
    England and the Celtic Fringe
The Reconquista and the Normans in the Mediterranean
    The First Crusade
The Latin States of the Holy Land
The Resurgence of Islam and the Third Crusade
    The Latin Conquest of Constantinople
The Spanish Reconquista and Albigensian Crusades
    The Crusade in Africa
    The Hundred Years' War
    Italy and the Mediterranean Arena
The Hussite Wars and the Later Crusades
    The War of the Roses
The Army and Campaigns of Charles the Bold

Well hopefully this book will be useful to all of you, assuming you would want to know more about the middle-ages.
