Has anybody honestly beaten one of these huge games? I have only played two of the series and in that only 1 is mine(which is IX) I am on cd 2/4 and it has been, oh 3 years...
Are all the games the same size roughly? They seem to be HUGE

Also, this Final fantasy Online game I keep seein on tv; do they have a website for it? I have yet to find it. It looks like a great game, but it probobly has a monthly cost

Back on topic, I've beaten 6,7,8,9 and 10. During the summer i hope to stage a total geekfest in which i complete every FF from 1 to X-2. Should be fun

Lets see. Beat 1 back on the NES, 4 and 6 on the NES, 3 and 5 on fantransed roms, 7 and 8 on the PSX. Then my PSX burned, and I had pretty much decided that I hadn't enjoyed 8 very much or 7 at all, so I didn't bother to replace them, or get any of the other ones. Beat FFMQ and FFTA too, if you count those. FFT left me cold though.

Ive beaten FF 1,2,3 (or 5,6 in japanese enumeration), 7,8,9,10, and was working on X-2 until my brother left with his PS2. some of these ive actually finished at near 100% completion many, many time.

x-2 turned out to be little more than gratuitous fan service. i hope that this is not the new trend for the series.

Ok i'll use the japanese chronological order of the games:

    I beat 1,2(anthology series on PS),4,5(Another series on PS too),6(on Snes),7,8,9,10,X-2.

I got 11,played it for 3 months and got bored....I' getting 12,wanna see what the devs meant when adding a turkish flavour to it....but the hero is anything but turkish...

I have reached the end of Final Fantasy 9 and completed it, this however is the only Final Fantasy I've ever completed. On 7,8 and 10 I have reached the end boss (Sepiroth, Ultimisha, Seymour/Jecht etc) but realised that I've failed to level up to a good enough standard and end up getting my arse whooped every time.

Can't say I have a fave one, I love 7,8,9 and 10, never played 10-2 and seen as I've only ever had a Playstation and PS2 I've been unable to play the older ones, sadly they started releasing them for PS1 when I'd moved on to PS2 .

I've been playing the old PS1 games on my PS2 without any problems. I've never owned a PS1, so using the backwards compatability is the only way I can play those old classics like Vagrant Story and the pre X FFs.

Hmm I am at disc 3 in 8 after 3-4 years. I plan to finish it. This game simply rocks. I have tried 7,8,9,10 and was distincly unimpressed with 7, didn't really get itno 9 but liked 10. NOt far in it thoguh.

To kill Emerald you would need a 2 master knights of the round materia, 2 master final action materia (the one which lets you perform an action with a linked materia), a master pheonix materia, A master HP + MP restore materia. If you could be bothered to put the time in and get this for all your characters you would be unbeatable.

For Ruby you have to do the same except instead of a pheonix materia you have Life 2 and only use 1 character by killing off the other 2 b4 the fight starts as Ruby kills off 2 randomaly.

I know everything does cost money now unless its made by blizzard so many good games out there that I would LOVE to play and I cant afford the monthly rates its depressing ....

the only game of FF that I came close to beating (I think) was final fantasy tactics for PS1. I LOVED this game and I always went to my friends house to play it. I got to the point where you're going for the third stone ( I think) and you are fighting some knight who turns into a demon. I could never beat this and it became frustrating but I still think that tactics was the best FF game out there (that I played)
