After watching movies like braveheart, troy, gladiator, and others I realized one of the flaws that makes the game easier and less realistic is the "sticking" generals, the jedis. They get uber and never die, and hundreds of years pass. They stay faithfully loyal to king, after king, after king.
I propose that you make a mod that will allow generals to increase in vices and virtues fast, like in the span of one lifetime. This will allow heros to rise fast and valiantly, winning a war and coming out a Fine leader, and getting killer instinct, gaining stars of command and leading his armys to conquer multiple lands...
But then one day in his elder years he dies, and what becomes of his unit? Well the warriors remain. Whatever command the general had that added a valor bonus it would go automatically permanantly to the soldiers that were under his command. However, all the vices, virtues, command, acumen etc are reset. The character starts new. This will allow heroic characters whos names you will remember as they conquer those precious lands you need. After that new heroes must arise.
This will add immense challenge to the game, and provide a more realistic play to the game.
So to recap, generals die of old age, all attributes reset, valor bonus of deceased general remains. His vices and virtues are accelerated greatly, obtaining them even with one check.
