It's a disaster I installed MOO2 onto my PC today but when i went to play it there was quite a bit of lag. It isn't unplayable or anything but it was very annoying. The cursor kept sort of blinking and wasn't smooth at all. It kept sort of dragging along with a small delay over what I was doing with the mouse.

Hello...I did a Google search for this same problem, and I found this thread. I just thought I would bump it in case a solution was found.

Same symptoms - the game runs fine, but when I move the mouse, it flickers and tends to be sluggish. Whenever I'm in a screen such as Research, there's major mouse-lag.

    What does MOO stand for?
When a fox kills your chickens, do you kill the pigs for seeing what happened? No you go out and hunt the fox.
Cry havoc and let slip the HOGS of war

Master of Orion (II is the second release; there have been three).
    Be intent on loyalty
While others aspire to perform meritorious services
    Concentrate on purity of intent
While those around you are beset by egoism
