Remember one fun battle in STW:MI, I won a battle with 1 unit of ashiguru crossbows against 2 unit of mongol heavy cav.
I was aiming for fireing until his cav was about to reach me then I withdrawed. Then I saw that his cav suddently stopped running so I re-ordered my bows to fire. And they was standing there, able to fire volley after volley into the first unit that couldn't catch them, until they all was dead.

It was hard to keep them there until the next cav came, but I was able to pull of the same thing on the next unit to.

Never tried it afterwards though, considering the obvious cheating.
