I dowloaded the new version of America's Army yesterday and did the basic training etc. Then when i tried to login i realised i had forgotten my username + password. So i went on the site and went to register and it said it is closed or something.
Anyway, back to the point of this post.
Does anyone have any idea when the account services will be back up? My mate has the new America's Army and it is 1337, i love it and i want to play it at home.

What's so great about it vs the old version?
Well, there have been some tweaks... some balancing like no more nades on the hospital map. The Rate of Fire of the M4 is improved and the ROF of the RPK is a bit less to make it more like their real world couterparts.
There are two more maps, SF_Village and SF_Arctic. And of course it now uses the Karma engine for Rag Doll physics, so no more pre-scripted deaths...
I am sure I missed a lot of other improvements, the read me accompanying this patch was quite big...

Has it made frag grenades less lethal? Swear to God those things' huge killing range pisses me off to no end.

actually, in real life they are even more lethal. I think it is good that a game simulates a frag properly, it IS something to fear. But in the new patch there are fewer frags.
At this time the authentication server is down and no one can log in or play. It might be up today it was down yesterday.

Wich way do you take to get to the first point in the second special forces mission?
I suspect something when I crawl on slow speed and if I move 10 cm forward I'm detected without warning.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Hmm playing pipeline isn't good I seem to lag a bit if an enemy is close = lethal problem

Yeah I find Pipeline to be extremely laggy.
