With MI server down I play on old STW.

It's very refreshing to spend some time overthere...don't get me wrong..I'm not saying old STW is a better game.

It's about nice people, nice battles and having fun in general.

With 4 players online it's very easy to get a game going...with 8 or more online (a crowd!) it's party time...to be celebrated with a few "big" battles.

I noticed about all who still play STW are nice and funloving guys (+2 girls) who are willing to help newbies and eachother with much pleasure.

Although the average game skills are below MI-level...you can encounter some very skilled guys (mostly Bears imho)

Furthermore...they like to play funny koku and funny map battles...very nice!

Almost nobody bothers making rules, because most use fair or even weird armies.

Most players overthere know me very well...so I did a small test with a unknown name...entered the foyer...said HI...all 15 present at the time replied in seconds:

Hello m8...Hi..How are you?..Hi, are you new?
    etc, etc...

It's just amazing soo few...can have soo much fun.

Thanks guys, this is the way it should be in my opinion...very refreshing indeed!

Maybe you can help me Kas.
When I try to fire up old STW it defailts to MI screen and then tells me to insert correct disc. Do you know how to get around this? I really would like to pay STW a visit, it sounds a great place.

I did a separate install for both MI and old STW...used different directoy to install.

When you have updated STW with MI...you can't play original STW anymore...only MI.

So install STW again...and dont forget the v1.12 patch

"over there" sounds like you are describing Australia as "down under".

Haha- I am in the Old School STW and it is a very nice place. We love a good 3v3 battle and the players are super nice.

Every player I have met has played a few games with a "newbie" just to teach em the ropes - we dont let that newbie out till they love STW as much as we do.

As for weird armies- you said it. You're opponent might beat your "weird" army - but you will have his respect for fielding it in the first place

Isn't there a separate name creation system for old and new Shoggy?

Are you using the correct version/webpage?
