Alexander's army in RTW?

I read that the time frame for RTW is just after Alexander's death. So will we see the Macedonian Phalanx and Companion Cavalry that Alexander used so well? Or something different?

I think we do see those units.

They are listed on the TW.com site IIRC.

so companion cavalry supporting spartan phalanxe, with Dacian falxmen on the flanks.

the game starts some 60 years after the conquest of persia, by which time the greek dynastys which succedded alexander in the near east had adopted many local features in their military, but were still mainly greek, and of course the armed forces of those in greece itself, and the wqestern coast of turkey woudl have not changed almost at all, so yes you will find the phalanx, though i wouldnt put money of companion cavalry

You'll probably get a companion clone somewhere but phalanx definantly
