in a custom game its not possible to make the armies play with reinforcements is it?

why doesnt the computer attack both bridges, if there are 2, in a custom game? - I was playing vs 4 comp on a 2 bridge map and they totally avoided the other bridge even after they chased down a router that I had used to lure them it... they only attacked with 2 of the 5 cavalry units at that area and the rest marched back to their formation lines.

I had a few others but I forget at the moment so I'll edit this later to include them

Not sure about the first one. Second one happens in campaign too I think it's just lack of specific support for two bridge maps in the AI.

What difficulty level do you play?
Some days ago I was playing in normal and the AI attacked the two bridges at the same time, with the problem (for me) of looking at the two simultaneous battles.
Perhaps it is only a question of number of units the AI has. I that case it had about 12 units.

    I played on normal
the computer had 16 units each and there were 4 of them
I guess they dont take advantage of that other bridge until hard huh?

and I remember the other question I wanted to ask
in any game when archers or siege craft get a weapon upgrade, does that mean when the units who are firing the bows or using the artillery enter melee mode that they receive the bonus there? or that the arrows and artillery projectiles get the bonus?

in simpler terms when the archers are firing do they get the bonus there or if you send them into melee?
