Was doing some geneological research and the furthest back my Irish line goes was to the immigrant ancestor, Barnabas O'Reilly, who apparently hailed from a place called Gowick Island in Ireland, which might have been in County Cork.

However I get absolutely nothing when searching for Gowick Island on the web. Has anyone ever heard of it? Maybe the name changed in the past two centuries.
