I have heard a lot of good things from Sinan and others about the game so i pre ordered the game (should recieve it soon) and downloaded the multiplayer demo.

Like it, looks good, can't wait to play with 150 people on a server but its really laggy. I have a P4 2.4GHz intel CPU a 128 mb Geforce 4 Ti4200 and 1Gb of RAM with a 512 DSL connection. What am i doing wrong? the graphics are set to the minimum and still i get unplayable lag on servers with 50 people in. Has anyone had similar problems? if so i need help

    Thanks

yeah, what you need to do is to join an OFFICIAL server, not one created by other players.

The game is extremely system intensive, your comp isnt enough to play it.

I know that it sounds crazy, but I have a more powerful computer than you and I get on average anywhere from 5-25 fps when playing on 150 ppl servers...

I also have all the settings down to minimum as well as a cable connection...

tried the demo. the only thing i dont like about that game is that you can see where EVERYONE is with those goofy name plates hanging over everyone's head. makes playing a sniper sort of stupid, and i like playing a sniper. let's see, i'll hide here and snipe. *ping you're dead* 'hey man, i saw your name hanging up over that grassy area. you gotta hide better than that' yeah, i'd hide a lot better if there wasnt a billboard hanging over my head announcing my location to everyone... d'oh i mean, what's the point?

They removed that, You can only see the name tags of your team mates now, and even then they gave you the option to remove them...

    Errr...??
With the Delta Force series you could only see the nametags of your teammates, not that of your enemies. Are you sure it isn't like this? I haven't played JO, but if they have made that change, then I have no clue whatsoever why they did it By the sound of it, it certainly does seem to take away a lot of the immersive gameplay as was with NL's DF games...

I have nothing to comment on the topicstarters post, because I haven't played it, sorry.

    Edit: Dramicus was faster

    By the way,
That nametag on/off/abbriviation option mostlikely was there in the first place, seeing as it's made with BHD's engine, right?

Its made with a vastly upgraded version of the BHD engine, although its sometimes you get a feeling of deja vu when riding on one of the scout choppers... I get flashbacks of missions in Somolia....
