I will admit, I am much better at the research and text file parts of making a mod than at the graphics part but this question will sound remarkably stupid.

How do I create a MAPTEX file for a new map in VI. I have searched the threads about map creation and that is the only part that I can't find. I know that it is probably the easiest part of the process but it has thrown me.
