The recent video posted on Legiontotalwar forum say there's no need for guide because all "help" is included in the game as system of advisers.

The strategy guides for STW and MTW were pretty good. In STW, I rather liked the province specific guidance - possible as the maps for each province were fixed. In MTW, the discussion of the many units was pretty decent and helped me understand them a lot better. (Yes, you can wait and get an excel file with all the stats, but it is not so nice to read). Both guides explained the combat system pretty well and had some decent inside tips from CA. There was not that much in terms of strategic advice for factions, but in both cases I appreciated it. So, yes, I think I will buy a strategy guide. I usually do for "big" high quality games, like BG2, Morrowind, Homm3, NWN etc. I suspect I will not get that much out of it, but it will probably make good "dip into it" reading material in place of a magazine while on the loo, over breakfast etc.

I doubt I'll preorder though - I usually find it quicker to nip down to the local store. When I preorder to get a low price, I often find the extra delays agonising (Yes, I'm a junkie.) At least with this game, it should not be available first in America - that really poses a dilemma for me (import or wait).

Pre-Ordering is usually a toss-up between paying a lower price and getting it a little later. When I'm looking forward to a game this much I would rather go and get it that day rather than HOPE it is mailed in time.,
