CPU Players in multiplayer?

I am sure this has been asked before but it is not an easy thing to search for

Anyway, me and my friend want to play cooperatively in multiplayer against the CPU. Is this in any way possible in MTW or STW?

Thats actually a pretty sweet idea.

This could lead to like a 2 player campaign. I remember in Rick you could have more than 1 player in a campaign. I realize its a little different hear but that would be sweet. ONly prob would be when u attack the second player (if their playing on ur comp to) Although you could just set ur orders and let ur gen's do the rest...

What I really meant was, setting up a multiplayer game as normal, but adding CPU players ala the single player custom battle menus....like in other strat games with multiplayer where you can add bot players like metal fatigue, aoe etc.
